The third quarter of 2022 saw noteworthy trends in the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in France. Below, we delve into the weekly download rates and active user statistics for the top five apps: Google Maps, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, Google Earth, Visorando Walking Routes, and Mappy - GPS, trafic & prix.

Google Maps experienced a peak in weekly downloads in early August, reaching approximately 129K. However, downloads gradually decreased, hitting a low of around 44K by the end of September. Visorando Walking Routes saw a notable increase in weekly downloads in early August, reaching about 21K. However, downloads decreased to around 6.5K by the end of September. The app's active user count peaked at roughly 33.5K in early August, followed by a decline to around 12.9K by the end of the quarter.

Mappy - GPS, trafic & prix had its highest download rate in early August with approximately 10K downloads, gradually falling to around 5K by the end of September. Active users remained fairly stable, peaking at about 32K in early August and maintaining around 25K towards the end of the quarter.
